A Glimpse at the Future
That's really the best way to describe this mouse. HITS is the first real click-tech shift in years, and using it makes normal switches feel a little dated by comparison. But a glimpse at the future is also, by definition, not the finished product — and I don't think this mouse was quite ready.
Buttons & HITS
The buttons themselves feel very good — that part isn't in question. But fitting the new haptic hardware in clearly cost something: the front of the mouse feels noticeably heavier than the back now. It's the first Logitech Superlight-family mouse where the weight doesn't feel evenly distributed, and once you notice it, it's hard to unnotice.
Weight
I really want the weight on this to come down at least 10 grams. If this hit 50g, it would feel incredible — the shape and the clicks are already there, it's just carrying hardware weight it hasn't figured out how to hide yet.
Skates
Some of the worst skates I've used, genuinely up there with the G305 X Superlight's skates for how bad they are out of the box. Between this and the G305 X, it's starting to feel like a pattern rather than a one-off.
Coating
Same coating as the Superlight 2, which means it's good — this is one part Logitech clearly didn't touch, and didn't need to.
Everything Else
Outside of the buttons and the front-heavy balance, this feels about the same as the Superlight 2 across the board. That's not a knock — it means the foundation is solid. It's specifically the new hardware that needs another pass.

Verdict
When these clicks make their way to the 2c — or even the G305 shape — I'll be all over it. Logitech needs to get the weight down and bring HITS to the rest of the lineup. This is the mouse that proves the tech works; it's just not the mouse it should end up living in long-term.
