First Impressions
This is seriously the best mouse Pulsar has released, and it's all thanks to TenZ. Knowing the shape was designed and fine-tuned by him personally shows the moment you pick it up — this doesn't feel like a pro-player name slapped on a stock shell.
Shape & Ergonomics
Full control. I feel like this was made for my hand personally, which is a strange thing to say about a shape designed around someone else's grip — but that's exactly how it feels. It doesn't restrict me at all, and at 120mm x 64mm this is a bigger shape than the compact mice I usually gravitate toward. None of that size works against it.
Weight
±47g feels extremely light for its size. It doesn't carry the way a mouse this size usually would — the weight distribution is doing a lot of work here.
Firmware Tip
One thing worth flagging for anyone picking one of these up: update the firmware to the beta channel on all Pulsar mice. It avoids a DPI downshift issue that otherwise crops up. Worth doing on day one.
Colorway
The red exclusive colorway is my favorite, though it's no longer available. Worth grabbing while you can if Pulsar brings it back in a future run.
Pros
- Shape designed and fine-tuned by TenZ — full control with zero restriction
- Feels extremely light for its size at ±47g
- Same reliable XS-1 sensor and Pulsar Optical switches as the rest of the lineup
- Included dot skates and Superflex paracord cable are genuine extras, not afterthoughts
Cons
- Larger footprint than Pulsar's Mini shapes — won't suit hands set on a compact mouse
- Needs a beta firmware update out of the box to avoid a DPI downshift issue
- The red exclusive colorway we preferred is no longer available
Verdict
Every so often a signature edition actually earns the name on the box. This is one of those — TenZ's fingerprints are all over the shape, and the result is full control with none of the restriction we've felt from other shapes at this size. The best mouse Pulsar has put out, full stop.
